Motorcycle Tyre Guidelines
Mototyres 2 u advise owners to regularly check your motorcycle tyres to ensure they are safe and legal:
- Visual inspection for cracking, bulges, cuts, lumps or embedded objects
- Inflate tyres to the correct level in the manufacturers handbook
- Inspect tread to ensure a minimum 1mm tread depth across three-quarters of the tread pattern and visible tread on the remaining quarter
IMPORTANT: Motorcycle tyre manufacturers advise riders to ride cautiously for at least the first 100-125 miles on a new tyre. This means riders should not accelerate suddenly and harshly, should not apply maximum braking force or corner hard.
